SHERIFF’S OFFICE

–A protection order was served at 6:08 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of state Route 7 on Daniel Davidson in Fairfield Township.

–A female told deputies investigating a welfare check at 1:17 p.m. Saturday in the 13000 block of West Point Road in Madison Township that everything was OK. They had responded to an argument between her and her boyfriend, who had left prior to their arrival.

–A Hanover Township man had reported at 10:38 p.m. Saturday in the 29000 block of Campbell Road that a male is sending him unwanted social media messages despite his efforts to block him. He wanted a report on file.

–Deputies responded at 11:23 p.m. Friday to the 7500 block of Depot Street for a suspicious person. The man was not intoxicated as earlier suggested but he needed a ride to the Youngstown area and was given one to the North Lima area.

– A Elkrun Township subject reported at 9:58 p.m. Saturday that his sisters and their boyfriends are sending him unwanted text messages and he wanted a report on file.

SALEM

– Police responded at 8:23 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of East Fourth Street for an altercation between two females, one of whom was wielding scissors. After getting the scissors off the one female, they separated them. Both females advised the dispute was over the complainant cutting the floors behind the property.

–A South Lincoln Avenue woman reported at 2:19 p.m. Saturday that someone burglarized her apartment in between May 28-30, stealing kitchen supplies, food, medication, makeup, and a trash can. She identified a male suspect but could nott prove it, so she just wanted a report.

–An unwanted subject was removed at 3:35 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Vine Street, where he had been staying.

–An open garage door was discovered at 12:33 p.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of Mount Street. A note was left for the homeowner.

–Aaron M. Jakubisn, of North Indiana Avenue, backed into a vehicle driven by Stephanie A. Everson, of Justison Road in East Palestine at 11:23 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of South Broadway Avenue. No citations were issued as it was a private property crash.

–Police were dispatched at 5:19 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of East State Street. A white Dodge van struck a legally parked unoccupied Chevy Equinox. There was no citation.

–A gas leak was reported at 4:38 p.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of Southeast Boulevard.

–A domestic in progress was reported at 11:19 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of East Sixth Street.

–An ambulance was called for an elderly subject who had stumbled and suffered a laceration on his head at 3:51 p.m. Friday in the 2200 block of Oak Street.

–Police were dispatched at 8:22 p.m. Friday to the 100 block of North Lincoln Avenue for a truck blocking other vehicles from a parking lot. He moved his truck.

–A Homewood Avenue woman reported at 9:26 a.m. Friday that she received a phone call from the alleged Social Security Administration that she had a warrant issued out for her arrest. She declined to confirm her Social Security number despite the caller’s efforts.

–William P. Zahrndt, of state Route 45 in Lisbon, was cited at 4:26 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of East Pershing Street on a charge of driving under suspension.

–A Newgarden Avenue woman reports at 8:55 pm. Friday that an unknown male was knocking on her door. He was advised not to return to the residence.

–Officers responded at 8:50 p.m. Friday to AutoZone, where a black 1999 Volkswagen lost their front driver side tire.

–Zachariah Kaer was arrested at 2:26 a.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Maple Street on charges of obstructing official business, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

–No citations were issued in a chain reaction crash at 3:44 p.m. Friday in front of Tim Horton’s, involving Kyrah Schultz, of state Route 558 in Columbiana; Diane Bartley, of West Garfield Road in Salem; and Rodger Sharp, of Winona Road.

–Officers were requested at 7:45 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of East Pershing Street to an intoxicated male making sexual remarks to female passersby.

–An officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop for a motorcycle, who peeled his tires and did a wheelie before fleeing west on Franklin Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday.

–William A. Borrelli, no address listed, was cited at 11:22 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Newgarden Avenue on OVI and failure to maintain assured clear distance charges, after he allegedly rear ended a vehicle driven by Austin Vanhorn.

–Police responded at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 2800 block of East State Street for a two-vehicle private property crash without injuries, involving Bradley Smith, of state Route 45 in Lisbon, and Thomas Brewer, of Fairview Avenue.

EAST LIVERPOOL

–Police responded at 5:57 p.m. June 6 to Perorazio Auto Body for an alarm drop.

–Charges are being sought against Jarrett Shields, no address listed, at 3:41 a.m. June 6 after a disturbance in the 900 block of Princeton Avenue. He allegedly had become combative, after being asked to leave. A female subject also could face domestic violence charges as well.

–An officer responded at 10:27 p.m. June 6 to the 700 block of Bradshaw Avenue for an alarm drop.

–An incident was documented at 9:03 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of Minerva Street by a man, who reported his 50-year-old son was using drugs in his home. He was told to either evict him or tell him not to use at his house.

–A dump truck struck an utility pole at 4:08 p.m. Monday in the 2500 block of St. Clair Avenue.

–A neighborhood dispute was reported at 2:44 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of Holliday Street.

–A woman reported at 8:12 p.m. Monday that she was receiving scam phone callers wanting her to buy $500 gift cards. They alleged she had a federal arrest warrant that they would have served if she failed to cooperate.

–The fugitive task force (bail bonds edition) visited at 1:01 a.m. Monday in the 500 block of East Sixth Street, looking for a male subject who wasn’t living there.

–A man reported at 9:56 p.m. Monday that he was being harassed by a neighbor, after grabbing water from his uncle’s house.

–A welfare check was performed at 6:51 p.m. Monday in the Marathon gas station on St. Clair Avenue. The occupant of a vehicle that was parked in the lot for more than two hours was sleeping in his car. ASI responded. The occupant didn’t have a valid driver’s license and was advised to have someone get him.

–Roger Ingram, no address listed, was arrested at 5:38 p.m. Monday on Pennsylvania Avenue, after he failed to possess a valid concealed carry permit but had a loaded handgun in his front pocket. He had been stopped for squealing tires.

–An investigation was initiated at 2:31 a.m. Monday in the 500 block of Wedgewood Street, where a hydrant wrench was left on top of the fire hydrant. A subject in a nearby truck denied knowledge of the items.

–A female victim had reported at 1:41 a.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Chafin Avenue that a male had stole cash and her cell phone out of a purse.

–Officers responded at 10:30 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of West Fourth Street to a break-in. A report regarding the building’s “foul condition” was forwarded to the city planning department.

–A warrant was served at 10:17 a.m. Monday to a subject in the Tri-State Ford lounge.

–Police responded at 7:20 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of Grant Street to a neighborhood dispute over personal property.

–Officers responded at 2:32 a.m. Wednesday to Lena’s Lounge for a fight that had started inside the bar before spilling into a side lot. The fights appeared to be a chronic problem.

–A delivery truck pulled down cable lines shortly before 10:25 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Bradshaw and Laura.

–Nicholas Johnston Jr., no address listed, was served at 7:12 a.m. Wednesday in the area of 300 block of North Shadylane Street with a warrant.

–Police investigated a complaint at 4:52 a.m. Thursday in the area of 500 block of Sugar Street.

–Candida Rose Slager, no address listed, was arrested at 5:35 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Louise Street on charges of driving under suspension, drug paraphernalia, endangering children, receiving stolen property, marijuana drug paraphernalia and marijuana possession. Police had responded to the location for a welfare check, after Slager was discovered sleeping in her vehicle with a child younger than one year of age in the back seat. While doing inventory of the vehicle, officers found glass pipes with residue, suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and marijuana grinder.

–Ramel Hassan Shephard, no address listed, was arrested at 12:37 a.m. Friday in the first block of Orchard Grove Avenue on unspecified charges, after an officer witnessed him walking down Anderson Boulevard and smoking a marijuana cigarette. He provided a fake name upon contact and was found to possess a black cylinder containing marijuana and cash.

–An unidentified male was cited at 5:13 a.m. Friday in the first block of Pennsylvania Avenue going 63 in a 50 mph zone on state Route 39.

–Logan Blake, no address listed, was cited at 12:19 a.m. Friday in the first block of Rubicon Street for no operator’s license, after being stopped for a loud exhaust.

–Tara Montgomery, no address listed, was cited at 3:02 a.m. Friday in the first block of Jefferson Street for illegal plates.

–Jeffrey D. Meredith, no address listed, was cited at 5:06 a.m. Friday in the first block of Mulberry Street for driving under suspended, after a routine traffic stop for speeding.

–Cory Boso Jr., no address listed, was cited at 5:34 a.m. Friday for going 62 in a 50 mph zone.

–Thomas Armstrong, no address listed, was cited at 5:05 a.m. Friday for going 61 in a 50 mph zone.

–Joshua Thomas Boyle, no address listed, was served at 1:06 a.m. Saturday with a warrant in the 700 block of Avondale Street. He also was discovered to be in possession of a loaded firearm before taken into custody.

–William Cook, no address listed, was arrested at 1:23 a.m. Saturday on a domestic violence charge, after a disagreement with his live-in girlfriend.

–Robert Sluss, no address listed, was arrested at 6:19 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of public intoxication in the 600 block of Riley Avenue.

–Zachary Tice, no address listed, was cited at 3:07 a.m. Tuesday on charges of no operator’s license and illegal plates, after a routine traffic stop.

–Theft of catalytic converters was reported at 5:54 a.m. Tuesday in the 2500 block of Parkway Avenue .

–Dustin Michael Huff, no address listed, was arrested at 12:52 a.m. Tuesday in th 300 block of West Fourth Street on a charge of public intoxication, after overdosing in the bathroom hall. He allegedly admitted to snorting heroin but refused to provide information regarding the source.

–An officer discovered a child wearing only a T-shirt and underwear wandering on Moore Street near Dresden Avenue around noon Tuesday. His mother picked him up at the station after he had left Florence Street to go play with a friend.
